An Arctic Aurora Gateway

We will enjoy a scenic 100 km drive from Kiruna to Abisko National Park, taking in the stunning
landscapes along the way. During the tour, we walk along the spectacular canyon and visit the beautiful Silver Fall near Björkliden. Our guide serves us a delicious lunch before we return to Kiruna. No trip to Nordic is incomplete without the quintessential sauna experience. We enjoy a short walk to the Sauna by the river for a relaxing and wholesome sauna experience. Pamper body and soul with a specially composed sauna ritual including the ten steps in Jukkasjärvi Sauna Ritual and try everything from the sauna, wash with tar soap, and take a plunge into Torne River

We have a scenic private transfer from Kiruna to Rovaniemi (approx. 4.5 hrs) Check-in to the Hotel.
In the late afternoon, we have a private transfer arranged to the Santa Claus Village where we have the afternoon at leisure to officially meet Santa Claus and cross the Arctic Circle. Be sure to post a letter from Santa Claus’ Main Post Office and let your loved ones experience the magic of a Finnish Christmas letter delivered from the Arctic Circle (non-guided). In the evening, we will be whisked off for a bucket list Arctic experience of Aurora hunting with an aurora expert guide who will do everything possible to find the auroras for us with a great chance to experience the phenomenon of “double auroras”. Driving far might be the only way to find northern lights, especially when the weather gets challenging. We will also be served some hot refreshments on the way over a wilderness campfire.

We will be picked for a unique outdoor adventure in the Lappish forests with our energetic huskies,
enthusiastically leading us in a summer wagon. We will be picked for a truly liberating bucket list adventure of floating in the wilderness lake experiencing near-zero gravity with a great chance to catch aurora lights. Dressed up in the special
floating suits over our clothes, we stay warm and dry when entering the lake. Our guide prepares hot
drinks over an open fire to toast for the nature. With a rested mind, we head back to the city.

Rivers have always been the most important routes throughout times, and as Rovaniemi is located at the crossing of two large rivers, it has adopted the role of the gateway to Lapland. Rovaniemi was a legendary lumberjack town, and the Ounasjoki and Kemijoki rivers were used as floating channels for the log industry from the late 1800 century until end of 1980. We will visit the Kotisaari Island which was a traditional base of the Lumberjacks in Kemijoki, and enter this idyllic island. During the cruise, we will pass by the urban city life and the green riverbanks as well as the most iconic places to enjoy the best possible views! Herbal tea and traditional tea bread will be served during the cruise.

Private transfer to Rovaniemi airport for onward departure to Tromso Upon arrival at Tromso airport, we have a private transfer to the city hotel In the evening, join our expert guides on a long Northern Lights chase as we drive away from the city center to find clear skies, hunting for the elusive Auroras . The guides also help us take portrait photos.

We have a leisurely day with a scenic photo trip to Sommarøy island, a charming fishing village outside Kvaløya in Northern Norway, known for its beautiful beaches, diverse natural landscapes and
rich wildlife. Do you know that the 350 residents of Sommarøy in the land of the midnight sun have
decided free themselves from the tyranny of the clock by declaring the small Norwegian island the
world’s first time-free zone? Evening for leisure.
